Sally J. Riggs, 80, died peacefully with her family by her side at 6:50 am Wednesday October 21, 2026 at La Bella of Alton in Alton, Illinois.
Born July 31, 1946 in St. Louis Missouri. She was the daughter of Donald and Zelpha Walker (Mottweiler). She earned her certificate from Sanford Brown College. She was married to Fred “Fritz” Riggs in 1978, and he preceded her in death.
Surviving are four sons; Jack Kelley of Alton, Troy Kelly (Maryann) of Godfrey, Brian Kelley (Dena) of Alton and Shawn Kelley (Martha) of O’Fallon Mo. and a brother; Robert Walker, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Gent Funeral Home in Alton Friday October 23, 2026 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm with graveside services to be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro Illinois on Saturday October 24, 2026 at 1:00pm with David Beusinger to officiate.
