Sally A. Knapp, 72, passed away at 2:35 a.m. Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Edwardsville Nursing & Rehab Center. She is now reunited in Heaven with her parents, her sister Robin Ooton, and her beloved nephew, Teddy.
Born Feb. 1, 1943 in Worden, she was a daughter of James and Ardelia (Albrecht) Ooton.
A homemaker, Sally loved to play Bingo and listen to Elvis Presley.
Survivors include a daughter, Holly Knapp of Davenport, Ia., 2 sons, James Knapp and his fiancée Amanda Murphy of Wood River and Ronald Knapp and his fiancée Jamie Dale of Edwardsville; 2 grandchildren, Aadon Knapp and Marley Murphy; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Janette Steinhauer of Iowa and Beth and Bill Finke of Camden, Mo.; 4 brothers and 3 sisters-in-law, Ron Ooton of Staunton, Jim and Jeannie Ooton of Clinton, Ia., Kirby and Annie Ooton of Chicago, Ill., and Ken and Karen Ooton of Worden; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a memorial service at 12 p.m. Sunday, August 30 at Worden Christian Church, 223 N. Lincoln, Worden, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Edwardsville Nursing & Rehab for the excellent care they provided for Sally.
