Ruth Lucas

Ruth L Lucas, 85, of Kane passed away at 1:08 pm on Thurs Aug 2, 2018 at Jerseyville Manor NH.  She was born on Oct 20, 1932 in Springfield, IL to Herman & Esther (Brockman) Eschenfeldt.She married Mike Lucas of Springfield on April 20, 1968 in Springfield, IL.  She is survived by her husband Mike of Kane and sons & daughters in law: George & Toni Lucas of Kane, Christopher Lucas of Alton and Matthew & Alice Lucas of St Paul, MN, 7 Grandchildren & 5 Great Grandchildren and 2 nieces she raised: Delbert & Anna Mae Dixon of Effingham and Chuck & Elma DeProw of Brighton.She worked at the Illinois Bell Telephone Co as a bookkeeper and was a Librarian in Versailles for over 20 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers. Visitation will be 10 – 11 am Wed Aug 8, 2018 at Targhetta & Wooldridge F H in Brighton Funeral Services will be at 11 am Wed Aug 8, 2018 at Targhetta & Wooldridge F H in Brighton        Burial will be in St Catherine’s Cemetery in Hagaman, IL
