Ruth A. Grove, 92, formerly of East Alton, passed away at 3:20 a.m. Monday, February 26, 2018 at her home in Godfrey, IL.
Born June 7, 1925 in Alton, she was the daughter of Elmer and Uva (Tharp) Parker.
She married Paul “Eldon” Grove Aug. 24, 1972 in Wood River. He preceded her in death Oct. 15, 2012.
Ruth worked for Kroger Grocery Store for 25 years as a cashier. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed RV travel.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Carol Perla of Tarpon Springs, FL; a stepson, Stephen Grove of Fountain, FL; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a new great-great grandson.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Kenneth “Gerry” Wikowsky and a step-daughter-in-law, Debra Grove.
Burial will be private at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
