Russell Kinney

Russell F. Kinney Jr., 95, of East Alton, IL, born Wednesday, June 25, 1930, in East Saint Louis, IL, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025 at Memorial Hospital West in Belleville, IL.

Russell worked as a High School Teacher for East St. Louis School District 189 and was a United States Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean War. Russell spoke five languages and used his talents as a volunteer teaching the Spanish language at many community centers, most recently SSP, Alton and the Main Street Community Center, Edwardsville. He loved to fish and spent his retirement summers at his cabin in Minnesota.
