Roy Brown

Alton | Save

Roy Milton Brown, age 67, departed his life on Thursday, January 25 surrounded by his family.

Roy was born December 28, 1950 in Cruger, Mississippi to the union of the late Earlie and Gladys (Williams) Brown. They later moved to Alton, IL.  In 1994, he married his Beloved wife of 24 years, Rosetta “Rosie” Brown.  To this union was born a beautiful daughter, Anna Rose Brown. Because of their loving hearts, they adopted two sons Ihzel Brown and Ryshaun Brown.

He attended the Alton public schools and was selected for Plumber and Pipefitter training. Mr. Brown continued in it as an occupation and he retired from Local 553, after 27 years of service.

Brother Brown gave his life to Christ at Webster Temple COGIC under the leadership of Pastor Albert Watson. He often attended Tuesday night Bible Class, enjoyed listening to Mother Jacqueline Osborne and Elder Henry Smith sing, was an usher, and a Sergeant at Arms during vacation bible school.  He was a Brother of Dunbar Lodge #97 Free and Accepted Masons P.H.A.

Roy prided himself on his sense of style and appearance.
