Roy Eugene Dunn, 70, passed away 7:30 a.m. Monday, February 1, 2016 at his residence.
Born on March 27, 1945 in Pascaugala, MS, the son of Jeptha and Nora (Thomas) Dunn.
A U.S. Army veteran, he worked as a forklift operator for Coca-Cola Bottling for 44 years before retiring in 2012.
On October 2, 1982 in Belleville, he married the former Debra Jones. She survives.
Surviving also are two sons, Robert Shook and Gary (Amanda) Shook all of East Alton; daughter, Billie (Jeff) Trail of O'Fallon; seven grandchildren, Roy and Sheri Trail, Brittany, Dalton, Dylan, Allison and Riley Shool; five great grandchildren, Isabella and Ayden Trail, Skylar and Liam Shook and Carter Gleason; brother, Wyatt Dunn of Mississippi; and four sisters, Jo Hunter, Martha Boutwell, Margaret Moore and Mary Davis all of Mississippi.
Preceding in death were his parents; and three brothers, Herbert, Tommy and Benjamin Dunn.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
Burial will follow in Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana with military honors presented by Alton VFW Post 1308.
