Rosemary R. Esparza, 85. passed away 6:42 pm, Saturday, February 2, 2019 in OSF St. Anthony's Health Center in Alton.
Born November 6, 1933 in Wayne County,MO, she was the daughter of Joe and Pearl (Hale) Daves.
She retired a self-employed beautician after many years.
On December 23, 1955 in East Alton, she married Pete Esparza. He died August 29, 2006.
Surviving are a son, Mike Esparza of Alton; three daughters, Naomi (Mike) Ogden of Waterloo, Marla (Jimmy) Taylor of Elkton, KY, Maria Esparza of Jacksonville; eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren;a great-great grandchild; four brothers, Junior Daves and Alfred Daves of Godfrey, Leonard Daves and Gary Daves in Missouri; and a sister, Melba Bick of Mt. Olive.
Preceding in death were her parents; husband; brothers, Lloyd, Eskell and Herschel Daves; and sisters, Jane Goff, Verlene Hicks, Florence Kline an Betty Henderson.
Visitation will be from 9 am until time of service at 11 am Tuesday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Pastor Jason Daves wil officiate.
Private burial will be in Short Cemetery in Cottage Hills.
Memorials may be made to Gospel Tabernacle Church in Godfrey.
