Rosemary E. Hornsey, 62, passed away at 3:20 am Tuesday July 2, 2013 at Alton Memorial Hospital, with her family by her side.
She was born on July 25, 1950 in St. Louis, MO the daughter of the late George and Leona (Gereau) Bunk.
She married Robert (Boz) Hornsey on November 25, 1998 in Alton, IL. He survives.
She was a Registered nurse for over 20 years in Home Care & Various Nursing Home. She enjoyed golfing and dancing, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, and one son: David Pikey of Alton, Il, two step-daughter’s and their spouses: Bobbi and Paul Brooks of Edwardsville, IL, and Pamela and Ashley Lewis of Jacksonville, FL, a step-son and his spouse: William and Maria Harris of Minthill, N.C. nine grandchildren: one sister and her spouse: Dorothy and Kenneth Truska of Fredericktown, MO, and one brother and his spouse: George and Judi Bunk of St.Louis, MO.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 pm, Friday, July 5, 2013 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.
Funeral Service will be at 10 am, on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.
Burial will be at the Upper Alton Cemetery in Alton.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Homes and Crematory in Alton are in charge of arrangements.
