Rosemary Costello Ralston, 93, died at 2:55 a.m. on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Eunice Smith Nursing Home in Alton. She was born south of Barrow, IL on April 24, 1923; she was one of nine children born to Louis and Flossie Costello. On August 15, 1941, she married Carl O. Ralston. He preceded her in death on January 3, 1976. She worked many years at both Alton Memorial and Wood River Township hospitals in food service. She was an Avon representative for many years. Rosemary is survived by a daughter and son-in-law; Delores and Gary Turnbaugh of Roxana, and a son and daughter-in-law; Danny and Kathy Ralston of Brighton. Also surviving is granddaughter; Amy Turnbaugh of Chicago, IL and grandsons; Nathan Ralston of Alton and Matthew (Kayla) Ralston of Milwaukee, WI and great grandson; Graham Ralston. A sister-in-law, Lily Costello of Winchester, IL and brother-in-law; Joe Morelli of Lady Lake, FL also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Carl, and eight brothers and sisters. Private graveside services were held at her request on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey with Father Carroll Mizicko, OFM officiating. Memorials may be made to Boy Scouts of America, Troop 1 in care of VFW Post 1308, 4445 N. Alby, Alton, IL and masses to St. Augustine of Hippo Catholic Church, 408 Rev. Joseph Brown Blvd, E.
