Rosemary A. Boedy, 90, died at 12:10 p.m. Monday, September 24, 2018 at her home.
Born August 19, 1928 in Alton, she was the daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Azzarello) Corona. Rosemary graduated from Marquette Catholic High School and was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Alton. She was a hairdresser for Young’s Department Store in downtown Alton.
On July 12, 1952 she married Donald D. Boedy in Alton. He preceded her in death on April 17, 2008. Surviving is a brother, Anthony Corona (Penny) of Alton, nieces and nephews, Nancy Doris of Brighton, IL, Judy Mundy of Jerseyville, IL, Barbara McKay of Champagne, IL, Theresa Roberds (Wyatt) of St. Jacob, IL, Jody Fesi (Joe) of Wentzville, MO, Thomas Corona (Jacquie) of Knob Noster, MO, Mary Ann Schmeig of Godfrey, Rita Humphrey and Marilyn Corona both of Edwardsville, JoEllen Corona of Alton, Toni Corona of Maryville, IL, and Ann Corona (John Regenstein) of St. Charles, MO.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dr. B.J. Corona.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian burial at 12:00 noon Friday, September 28, 2018 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Alton.
Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
