Rose Marie Smith, 76, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Alton Memorial Rehabilitation and Therapy with her family by her side.Born March 21, 1947 in Alton, IL, she was the daughter of Estle Arkell and Juanita Marie (Lack) Sanders.Rose had been employed as a Machinist at Olin-Winchester for several years and retired in March of 2008. She enjoyed planting her flowers.She married Ralph Smith September 29, 1984 in Godfrey, he survives.In addition to her husband, she is survived by; daughter, Karen (David Gray) Squier of East Alton; two stepsons; granddaughter, Aubrey Smith; grandson, Keegan Smith; sisters, Connie (Larry) Bell of Moro and Barbara (Todd) Webb of Edwardsville; brother, Danny (Brenda) Sanders of East Alton and several nieces and nephews.Visitation will be from 11am-1 pm, Friday, January 26, 2024, at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.Funeral services to follow at 1 pm, Friday, January 26, 2024, at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Pastor Justin Bell will officiate. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.Memorials are suggested to Michael J. Fox Parkinson’s Foundation.
