Rose Koberczky

Rose Mary Koberczky, age 78 of Highland, IL, died Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at SSM Health SLU Hospital in St. Louis, MO surrounded by loved ones.

Rose was born on Thursday, November 28, 1946, in Highland, IL, the daughter of Alphonse and Minnie (nee Wirtz) Baer. She attended St. Paul School. Rose married Richard Michael Koberczky on May 2, 1964, and they were later divorced. She worked at many jobs over the years and raised her seven children. She resided at the same residence since 1968. Rose cared for her grandchildren, loved to play bingo and cards (euchre). She enjoyed playing bunco and attending events at the Highland Area Senior Center.

• Daughter - Hollie A. (Douglas) Krafft, Troy, IL
• Grandchildren - 10
• Great Grandchildren - 12
• Brother - Dennis A. (Cheryl) Baer, Troy, IL
• Aunt - Luanne Gardiner, Manassas, VA
• Many Nieces and Nephews

She was preceded in death by:

• Mother - Minnie Mary Baer (nee Wirtz), died 7/2/2019
• Father - Alphonse John Baer, died 8/1/1981
• Former Spouse - Richard Michael Koberczky, died 10/20/1981

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

Graveside Services will be at Grantfork U.C.C. Cemetery in Grantfork, IL, Friday, August 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Scott Busacker, officiating.
