Ronnie C. Durbin, 74, of Cottage Hills, Illinois passed away at 5:50 a.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at his home. He was born August 23, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri, a son of the late Byford and Cleona (Greenley) Durbin. He married Patricia J. (Miller) Durbin on May 8, 1998 in Edwardsville and she survives.
He was always tinkering around the house and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his family and friends. In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his children, Ronnie Durbin Jr., Cynthia Durbin (Denise), Carmen Durbin, Laurie Whiteside (Rodney Wettling), Christopher Crocker Sr. (Brandy) and Jason Durbin (Jami); nineteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Byford Durbin Jr. (Lisa), Joseph Durbin (Elaine), Phyllis Bartlett, Wilma McLaughlin, Robert Kunkel Jr. and Randy Kunkel; other extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Mark Shemwell and Timothy Stack and three brothers, Darrell, Gary and Ricky Durbin.
In celebration of his life, a memorial visitation will be held at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until time of memorial service at 5:00 p.m. with Reverend Clint Wisdom officiating.
