Ronald Edward Wetstein, 62, died peacefully at 3:07 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2025 at his home in Godfrey.
Born June 1, 1962 in Alton, he was the son of Mary Jo (Sexton) Wetstein of Godfrey and the late Edward Wetstein.
Ronald graduated from Marquette Catholic High School in 1980. He was an electronic technician, having graduated from Bailey Technical College (ITT) and was employed at McDonnell Douglas in St. Charles, MO. He enjoyed music, karaoke, bike riding, fishing, building model rockets and he bought, restored and sold antiques.
Along with his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Marla Wholf (Michael Zeman) of Maumee, OH and Stephanie Kreitner (John) of Godfrey, two nieces and three nephews and numerous cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.
Burial will be private at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Alton.
Memorials may be made to the 5A’s Animal Shelter.
