Ronald Peil

Ronald J. Peil, 85 of Brighton, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at his home.  He was born to the late Peter N. & Gladys E. (Kirkman) Peil on December 20, 1930 in Bloomer, Wisconsin.

Me married  Betty L. (McKenzie) Peil on May 8, 1956.  She survives and resides in Brighton.

He is also survived by his daughters and their respective spouses, his grandchildren, great grandchildren and 2 brothers and spouses; Jorden & Margaret Peil, Merlin & Diane Peil and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by 1 sister and brother in law, and 2 nieces and nephew.

Ronald proudly served his country in the Air Force from 1951 to 1955.  He retired from Laclede Steel Company after 41 years of service.  His memberships included St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Brighton, 32nd Degree Mason, Shriners-Ainad Temple, Blue Lodge-Franklin 25 in Alton, Wood River Moose, Scottish Rite-Southern Juristiction

Visitation will be from 10 AM until noon on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home in Brighton.

Funeral service will be at noon on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home in Brighton

Burial will take place at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Memorials may be made to the Shiner's Children's Hospital.
