Ronald Dean Carney, 65, of Gillespie, IL, died at Springfield Memorial Hospital, Springfield, IL on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 5:47 pm.
He was born December 10, 1960, in Litchfield, IL to Howard W. Carney & Marvella June "Marvey" Meyer Carney. He was a truck spotter for Georgia Pacific. Ronald enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycles.
He is survived by his companion, Ellen Brown of Gillespie, IL, step sons, Seth Brown of Gillespie, IL, Zane Brown of Gillespie, IL, step grandchildren, Lily, Ian, Jase, sisters, Donna (Chuck) Westhoff of Gillespie, IL, Vickie (Tom Sorbie) Brown of Gillespie, IL, nephews, Chuckie Westhoff, Michael Westhoff, Ryan Brown, Andy Brown, Alex Brown and beloved dog, Sammy.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard Carney.
