Roland Lee Bland, 78, passed away Monday, Aug. 26, 2013 at his home.
Born Nov. 9, 1934 in Kampsville, he was the son of Howard Taft and Anna (Gansz) Bland.
He was a history and business teacher and driver’s education instructor at Civic Memorial High School. He was a member of the VFW and the Eagles Lodge.
Surviving are two sons, Daniel Bland Stephens and Richard Lee Bland and his girlfriend Elizabeth Beckerle all of St. Louis; and a cousin who was like a brother, Big Dan Bland of Bethalto.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Eva Waldmeier.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Kampsville.
