Roger “Keith” Pixley, 67, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 9:10 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025, in the emergency room at Gateway Regional Medical Center.
Born November 10, 1957, in East St. Louis, Illinois, he was a son of the late Roger and Betty May (Carter) Pixley.
He married Dawn Michelle (Ifland) Pixley on May 20, 1995, in Granite City and she survives.
Keith took much pride in his work as a painter, working for Tracy Painting in St. Louis for several years. He had a passion for music, loved playing the guitar and always enjoyed a good day of fishing. His greatest pride in life was his son and he loved following the career and achievements of his son in wrestling, Judo and Jiu Jitsu.
In addition to his beloved wife of 30 years, he is survived by his son, Michael Keith Pixley of Mt. Vernon; two brothers, Gregory Pixley of St. Louis and Kevin Wellhausen of Troy; two aunts, Patty Riskovsky of Granite City and Brenda Hawkins of Granite City; other extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Vickie Wellhausen.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until time of a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Elder Damon Campbell officiating.
Entombment will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
