Roger G. Blackwood 51 died at 3:36 pm, Monday, December 14, 2009 at Christian North East hospital in St. Louis, MO.
He was born April 3, 1958 to John and Alison Jill (Baker) Blackwood in Whakatane, New Zealand.
Roger married Melanie Hoke on June 16, 2001 in Las Vegas, NV. She survives.
Roger was employed at Conoco Phillips thru the Teamsters Local 525 as a truck driver. He was a member of the teamsters Union 525, an avid golfer, and enjoyed sailing.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his father, a sister; Alison Blackwood and her companion Steve Reidie of Auckland, New Zealand, a brother and his spouse; Alistor and Sue Blackwood of Whakatane, New Zealand, four nieces and nephews; Daniel Reidie, Nick Reidie, Simond Blackwood, and Dylan Blackwood
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Visitation will be from 10 to 12 pm Monday, December 21,, 2009 at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home, in Godfrey, Il.
