Roddy "Rod" G. Grover, 80, passed away 9:45 pm, Tuesday, January 23, 2024 surrounded by his family at his residence.
Born July 15, 1943 in Alton, he was the son of William "Billy" and Betty (Kirkpatrick) Grover.
He had worked as a machinist before retiring.
Surviving are two daughters, Me'Shel Riedel and companion, Diane Butrus of Clayton, MO, Melissa (Tim) Brown of Jerseyville; four grandchildren, Jacob (Mary) Brown, Alex Riedel and companion, Abby Lawrence, Luke (Maddie) Brown, Katey (Mitch) Kimble; three great grandchildren; brother, Mike Grover of Peoria; two sisters, Kathy Maple of Springfield, Judy Grady of Alton; and companion, Shelly Grover of East Alton.
A Celebration of Life Memorial visitation will be held from noon until time of service at 1 pm, Sunday, January 28 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
Memorials are suggested to St. Louis Children's Hospital.
