Robin Pollmann, age 69, of Pocahontas, IL, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital (BJC) in Saint Louis, MO.
She was born on Wednesday, July 11, 1956, in East Saint Louis, IL, the daughter of Elmer and Barbara (nee Beard) Childerson.
On Saturday, November 19, 1977, she married Daniel B. Pollmann at St. Mary's Church in Carlyle, IL, who survives.
Robin was a 1974 graduate of Greenville High School. She was a devoted homemaker who cared for her nieces, nephews, and many neighborhood children over the years. She later worked for the Village of Pierron for more than 20 years in administrative service and took great pride in serving her community.
Robin lived a life centered on faith, family, and finding joy in life’s simple moments. She was happiest when surrounded by the people she loved, especially her husband, children, and beloved grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of her life. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Robin had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and loved. Whether through a thoughtful message, a phone call, or simply being present, she made people feel special and cared for.
Robin enjoyed searching for a good bargain, sharing Mexican food with family, playing cards, trying her luck on gambling machines, relaxing with a good book and indulging in her favorite treats—ice cream and candy. Above all else, she cherished every moment spent with her family.
Her faith was quiet but steady, and it was always there in the way she loved others and cared for her family. Her warm smile, contagious laugh, generous heart, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
Robin is survived by her husband, Danny Pollmann of Pocahontas, IL; children, Apryl (Chris) Marti of Pocahontas, IL, and Nathan Pollmann of Aviston, IL; grandchildren, Lucas Marti and Kylie Marti; siblings, Katie (Steve) Weiss of Casey, IL, and Rodney (Julie) Childerson of Pocahontas, IL; sisters-in-law, Sharon (Dennis) Hustedde of Carlyle, IL, Deb Litteken of Aviston, IL, Joyce (Doug) Deerhake of Beckemeyer, IL, Laurie (Dennis "D") Kohnen of Germantown, IL, Judy (Special Friend Twyla Berry) Pollmann of Carlyle, IL and Jeannie (Tom) Fulkerson of Mt. Vernon, IL; brothers-in-law, Duane (Brenda) Pollmann of Bartelso, IL and Randy (Lee Ann) Pollmann of Bartelso, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Wayne & Barbara Jean (nee Beard) Childerson; brother, Robert Childerson; brother-in-law, Thomas Litteken and parents-in-law, Alphonse & Dorothy (nee Beckmann) Pollmann.
Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL and from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, June 26, 2026, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Highland, IL, with Father John P. Beveridge, officiating.
Interment will be at Hug Cemetery in Millersburg, IL.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hug Cemetery or American Cancer Society.
