Robert “Bob” Snyder, 63, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 10:33 a.m. Thurs. Dec. 18, 2025 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO surrounded by family and friends.
He was born May 21, 1962 in Belleville, IL to the late Donna Kay (Kelly) Newcombe and Robert Dale Snyder Sr.
Bob loved Harleys, cars, Hotwheels, fishing, working with his hands, and most of all, his family and friends. He was loved by everyone who knew him for his kindness, helping others, and for always being funny with a good joke.
He is survived by the love of his life, Veronica Morris of Granite City, 6 children, Joshua (Melissa) Snyder of Wentzville, MO, Crystal Hargrove of Granite City, Eric (Michelle) Snyder of Wentzville, MO, Matthew Gancheff of Chicago, IL, Christine (Dylan Sykes) Snyder of Collinsville, IL, and Catelynn Liniger of Columbia, MO. 6 grandchildren, Devon Snyder, Ethan Snyder, Mykayla Smith, Jazmyn Smith, Gavin Hargrove, and Grayson Slusher. 2 sisters, Kelly Snyder of St. Louis, MO, and Mary Veicer of St. Rose, IL. 2 brothers, Charlie Verges of Collinsville, and Michael Snyder of Troy, MO. He was anxiously awaiting the birth of his first great-grandchild. Bob is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his dad, Louie Alred, a grandson, Logan Snyder, and a sister, Bonnie Snyder.
Memorial visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of memorial services at 3:00 p.m. Fri. Dec. 26, 2025 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory. The family requests that if you have a Hog to please ride it to the service.
Memorials may be made in Bob’s name to any local animal shelter.
