Robert Antrobus

Robert R. Antrobus, 79, passed away at 6:08 am on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at his home.He was born August 2, 1937, in Alton, to the late Harry and Kathleen (Simmons) Antrobus.Robert was in the Corp of Engineers and worked for dam # 26 for 27 years until his retirement in 1993. He was a member of the American Legion Post 126 and the Alton Eagles. He enjoyed fishing, old time westerns and being with his friends and familySurvivors include dear friends, Christina Acord, David Acord and Heather Scoggins; one son, Chad Antrobus; three grandchildren, Devon, Zachary and Cheyenne Antrobus; one niece Judy Bean; and several cousins.He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Barbara Buttler.Memorial service will be at 6:30 pm on Monday, September 12, 2016, at Ivy Heights Church of God with Pastor Joel officiating.Cremation rites have been accorded.Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association.An online condolence and guest book may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com
