Robert Montgomery

Robert Oren Montgomery, 48, of Brighton passed away at 12:12 am on Thurs July 26, 2018 at his home. He was born on May 17, 1970 in Alton, IL. His father & stepmother are Robert & Gloria (Ament) Montgomery of Bunker Hill and his mother is Kathleen (Blair) Hampton of Florissant, MO. He married Donna (McAfee) Montgomery on Nov 24, 1990 in Bunker Hill. He is survived by 2 sons: Jonathon & Joshua Montgomery both of Brighton and 2 brothers and 1 sister in law; George Benke of E Alton and Anthony & Erin Montgomery of Groton, CT.He operated the Montgomery Trucking and Landscaping and also worked at the Waldbart Nursery in Bunker Hill for 26 years and also for the Village of Brighton for 5 years. He was a member of Teamsters Local 525.He was preceded in death by his grandparents; John & Lucy (Manage) Ament, Robert & Pauline (Smith Montgomery and Ernie & Aggie (Wendle) Blair and a nephew; Clifford McAfee Jr, father in law Pete McAfee and brother in law, Donald McAfee. Visitation will be 4-8 pm Mon July 30, 2018 at Targhetta & Wooldridge FH in Brighton Funeral Services will be at 10 am on Tues July 31, 2018 at Targhetta & Wooldridge F H in Brighton       Burial will be in Bunker Hill Cemetery Memorial may be made to the family.
