Robert M. Lanaghan, 93, of Belleville, IL, born Tuesday, September 6, 1932, in Rock Island, IL, passed away peacefully Monday, June 1, 2026 at Dammert Geriatric Center in Belleville, IL.
Robert worked for Union Electric for 40+ years, starting as a groundsman and finishing as the line crew supervisor. He was a member of Concordia United Church of Christ, Belleville IL, Member of the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and Gateway Camping Square Dancing. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran and recipient of the Bronze Star for Valor from his service in the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his:

Visitation: Visitation from 11:00 am to 1: 00 pm on Friday, June 5, 2026 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.
Services: Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 5, 2026 at Kurrus Funereal Home with Pastor Greg Seaman officiating. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
