Robert Hewitt

Robert L. Hewitt, 78, passed away Sunday evening May 10, 2015 from a heart attack.He was born on January 16, 1937 in Alton, the son of Dane L. & Hilda L. Hewitt.Robert married Linda Lou Dehart in 1958 and she preceded him in death in 2004.  He married Mary Lou Davis in 2006 and she survives.In addition to his wife, Mary Lou Hewitt; he is also survived by sons Michael and Bradley; daughter Dana (Hewitt) Jarden; a daughter-in-law Kay (Coatney) Hewitt; and son-in-law Tim Jarden; six grandchildren, Ashley Morgan and her husband, Shane, Loren Hewitt, Matt Hewitt and his wife, Megan, Jessica Hewitt, Andy Jarden and Chris Jarden; three great grandchildren, Shane, Sheralyn and Steven Morgan.Cremation rites will be accorded.Visitation will be from 9 am until time of Eulogy Service at 11 am Friday May 15, 2105 at Staten-Fine Funeral Home in Alton.Private inurnment will be at a later date at Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery in Godfrey.Memorials may be made to the National Children’s Advocacy CenterOnline condolences and tributes can be found at www.staten-fine.com
