Robert L. Brummitt Jr., of Granite City, IL, passed away at 12:30 a.m. Sat. Sept. 8, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born Jan. 30, 1957 in East St. Louis, IL to Joanne (Hager) Bowlin of Christopher, IL and the late Robert L. Brummitt Sr.
On Oct. 16, 1981, he and Alice Faye Wolfe were married in Granite City. She survives in Granite City.
Robert had been a warehouse foreman for Ashley Furniture for many years.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by 3 daughters: Nicole (Daniel) Askins of Granite City, Jennifer Rice of Madison, IL and Amy Brummitt of Granite City; a son: Robert L. Brummitt III of Highland, IL; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and a brother: Marcum Brummitt of Christopher, IL.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kristopher Brummitt.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thurs. Sept. 13, 2018 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory.
