Robert Logan

Robert John Logan, 30, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Scripps Memorial Hospital in Encinitas, CA. Born August 28, 1986 in Alton, he was the son of David and Theresa (Walters) Logan of Godfrey. On August 18, 2012 he married the former Kayla Arbuthnot in Wood River. She survives. Robert was a teacher and tennis coach for the Alton School District. He enjoyed all sports including playing golf but especially loved playing and teaching tennis. In addition to his parents and wife he is survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mike and Kelly Arbuthnot of East Alton, grandparents, John Logan of Wood River and Robert Walters of Brighton, two brothers, Christopher Logan (fiancé, Casey Parmenter) of East Alton, and Patrick Logan of Godfrey, a brother-in-law, Aaron Arbuthnot of East Alton, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Robert was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Margaret Logan and Jeanne Walters. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2016 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 717 State Street, Alton, IL 62002. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2016 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Alton. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, 2801 Greenwood Lane, Godfrey, IL 62035. Memorials may be made to the Alton High School Boys and Girls Tennis Program.
