Robert J. Dixon, 91, passed away 7:20 pm, Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Rosewood Care Center in Edwardsville.
Born August 16, 1926 in Edwardsville, he was the son of Joseph and Dolores (Albrecht) Dixon.
A U.S. Army veteran, he had worked as an electrical technician for McDonnell-Douglas before retiring in 1985.
On April 7, 1956 in Wood River, he married Mary E. Howden. She died April 16, 2006.
Robert is survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9-11 am Tuesday, June 12 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Edwardsville with military rites presented by Alton VFW Post 1308, of which he was a member.
