Robert Glenn Vassier, 89, died at 10:45 a.m. Monday, March 6, 2017 at his home. Born March 22, 1927 in Alton he was the son of Charles W. and Daisy Louise (Dalton) Vassier. Mr. Vassier served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He owned and operated Vassier T.V. for over 30 years retiring in 1988. On August 15, 1947 he married the former Betty Rives in Alton. She passed away at 6:27 p.m. the same day, March 6, 2017. Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Lynne and Randy Jackson of Godfrey and two grandchildren, Luke R. Jackson and Tyler S. Jackson. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Stephen B. Vassier, a brother, Charles W. Vassier and two sisters, Dorene Schien and Glendola Watson. There will be no services.
