Robert Lee “Bobby” Carter, 85, died Tuesday, November 5, 2024 surrounded by his brother and sister-in-law, George and Deborah Carter, and two nephews, Jeff Tanney and Todd Tanney (Kesia Sweet).
Born June 7, 1939, he was the son of James Franklin and Lillie Marie (Levi) Carter. Bobby managed Central Package Liquor in Alton.
Surviving two brothers, Paul Carter (Pat) and George Carter (Deborah), two nephews, Todd and Jeff Tanney. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, William, Harry, and Sonny, and five sisters, Lillian, Edna, Vivian, Betty and Mary Lou.
His brother George passed away shortly after him on November 19, 2024.
