Robert Brewster

Corporal Robert Lee Brewster, formerly of Cottage Hills, IL, passed away on July 8, 1950, in Cheonan, South Korea, while faithfully serving his country in the United States Army.

He was born on September 1, 1930, in Cottage Hills, the son of James and Mary (Widick) Brewster.

Cpl. Brewster attended East Alton-Wood River High School and entered the Army on Sept. 2, 1947. Cpl. Brewster answered the call to serve during the Korean War with courage and honor. Along with his parents, James and Mary, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Velda Brewster, Lucille Hogle, Sharon Madrey, and; three brothers, Richard Brewster, Charles Brewster, and Junior Brewster, who all passed without knowing his true fate, only the presumption of his death.
