Richard Eugene Lockhart, 65, of White Hall, died at 8:40 a.m., Friday, June 12, 2015 at his residence.

Richard was born in White Hall on Sept. 23, 1949, and joined the United States Air Force in 1970.  During his adult life he was employed as a carpenter and worked in the coal mines of Macoupin County.  He was a loyal and dedicated member of the White Hall Pentecostal Church.Surviving are his mother & step father, Joella & Wes Powers of Jerseyville; two sons & daughters in law, Richard Leroy & Lisa Nuss of Elgin and Richard Lance & Dorothy Lockhart of Jerseyville; a daughter & son in law, Rachael "Shelly" & Ed Brown of Rantoul; seven grandchildren, Haley Lockhart, Braiden Lockhart, Calvin (Frannie) Washenfeldt, Brookes Washenfeldt, Danny Brown, Anatta Brown and Eddy Brown; two great grandchildren, Emma & Aidan Washenfeldt;  two brothers & sisters in law, Rev. Robert "Andy" & Holly McAdams and Michael McAdams both of Jerseyville; three sisters & brothers in law, Angie & Wes Roady, Joetta & Bruce Pinkerton, and Jolene & Jim Adair all of Jerseyville; and six brothers and a sister in Oklahoma, Thomas, Donald, Nathanie, Russell, Robert Hicks, Galena Hicks, and Walter Hicks; and a former wife, Rebecca Stone.He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Hicks; and his grandparents, Orville & Mildred Lockhart.Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Friday at the White Hall Pentecostal Church, with Rev. Kenneth Pate officiating.Burial will be in the White Hall Cemetery where military funeral rites will be conducted.Memorials may be given to his family in care of the funeral home.
