Richard L. Drobney, 90, of Springfield, IL, died at Eden Vista, Burr Ridge, IL on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at 11:59 pm.
He was born October 8, 1934, in Gillespie, IL to Joseph J. Drobney & Helen Tkach Drobney. Richard was an accountant for the Illinois Department of Revenue. He was a life member of Croatian Lodge 217 of Benld, IL.
Richard is survived by nephew, George "Buddy" (spouse, Barbara) Drobney Jr, nieces, Jamie (Drobney) Tsambikou, Kelly (spouse, James) (Drobney) Weaver, numerous great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, great great nephews and sister in law, Bridget Catherine Drobney.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, George Drobney, Sr., James G. Drobney and niece, Bridget Drobney.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Springfield from 10:00 am until 11:00 am with a funeral mass to follow at the church at 11:00 am. Graveside services will be on Friday, August 22, 2025 at 1:30 pm at Holy Cross Cemetery, Gillespie, IL.
