Richard E. Dodge, 88, passed away surrounded by his family on November 3, 2026.
Richard was born on January 22, 1938 in Kemper, IL to Lewis E. and Elizabeth (Powell) Dodge.
He married the love of his life, Lola Mae Erb on September 26, 1964 in Edwardsville, IL.
He was a proud member of the United States Air Force. He was a faithful member at Faith Lutheran Church in Godfrey, IL. He later became a member of Immanual Lutheran Church in Washington, MO.
He is survived by his daughters, Rena (Dale) Boyd of Union, MO, and Lori (Steve) Weed of Owasso, OK; son, Steven (Maria) Dodge of Godfrey, IL; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Lola, and a sister, Alice Wallig.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the time of service at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 12, 2026 at Faith Lutheran Church in Godfrey, IL. Reverend Craig Wehmeyer will officiate.
Burial will follow at Medora Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Faith Lutheran Church in Godfrey, IL or Sheba Comfort Dog Ministry of Immanual Lutheran Church.
