Richard Anthony Brackett, 62, of Rosedale (formerly Hardin), passed away Monday January 28, 2019 at Jersey Community Hospital.
Rick was born November 20, 1956 in Jacksonville, IL to Richard M. Brackett and June (Albers) Brackett.
Rick supported his family as an over-the-road truck driver before becoming a farmer. He enjoyed horse-back riding and riding his Harley Davidson throughout his life. He also enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren and his beloved dog, Charlie.
Surviving are his 3 children Brandi Brackett of Jerseyville; Scott (Jenna) Brackett of Rosedale, and Melissa (Brandon) Wallendorf of Hardin; his grandchildren Madalyn and Drayden Wallendorf, Lilly Brackett, and a grandson due in March; his father Richard (Vicky) Brackett of Philadelphia, MO; his brother Jon (Kathy) Brackett of Hardin and their children Joe, Justin, Jill and Jared Brackett; and his step-brother Jason (Jeri) Shaw of Missouri. He was preceded in death by his mother, June Albers, and 2 infant siblings.
Visitation will be Friday, February 1, 2019 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Gress, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Hardin, IL.
Funeral Service will be Friday, February 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Gress, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Hardin, IL.
Burial will follow at Hardin City Cemetery.
