Rhonda Moore

Rhonda Kay Moore, 51, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2014, with her family by her side.Born on November 27, 1962 in Ft. Worth, TX, she was the daughter of Dennis Lee and Anita Kay (Austin) Childs.She attended East Alton-Wood River Community High School from 1977-1981; and had been employed with the U.S. Postal Service in the Hartford and Wood River offices for 18 years before retiring in 2013.A true gift to the world, Rhonda led a life of selflessness and giving that inspired those around her.  Amored with humility and a wonderful sense of humor, she braved the world as a beacon of life and hope.  Rhonda is survived by her husband of 21 years, Richard Keith Moore; mother, Kay; sisters, Tina and Linda; brother, Duane; five children, Josh, Rachel, Amanda, Robert and Ryan; and five grandchildren.Private services for the family were held on Tuesday.Anyone seeking to honor Rhonda's memory is kindly asked to donate time or money to any local homeless shelter.Marks Mortuary in Wood River was in  charge of arrangements.
