Rhonda G Hurt, 61, of Granite City, IL, passed away June 14th, 2023, in Zion, IL. She was born May 5th , 1962, in Dolphin, MO.
She is preceded in death by her parents George Hurt, and Sandra (Long) Margrabe, brothers Rusty Burns; Charlie Burns. She is survived by her partner Randall (Randy) York; sons Justin (Shannon) Hurt, James (Alyssa) Hurt, Ryan (Tina) Hurt, and grandchildren Cambria, Troy, Abigail, Tristan, and Kathryn; brother John (Robin) Margrabe, and sister Elinda (Bruce) Martin; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
Rhonda loved spending time with her family, playing games, barbequing, watching movies anything that involved being with her family. Her grandchildren were truly her whole heart, and she proudly spoke of each of them to anyone who would listen. She loved music, spending many nights of her life attending concerts especially RUSH! Later in life she started knitting enjoying making outfits for grandkids, scarves for kids, etc.
Memorial Service celebrating Rhonda’s life will be held Friday June 23rd at Thomas Saksa funeral home in Granite City. Visitors welcome 3p.m.- 5 p.m.
