Rhonda Colleen Campbell, 62, of Madison, Illinois, passed away at 6:53 a.m. on Monday, July 10, 2023, in the Emergency room at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City.  She was born October 27, 1960, in Granite City, a daughter of the late Clarence Thomas “Buzz” and Hazel Mae “Connie” (Lane) York.  She married the love of her life, Thomas E. “T.C.” Campbell on November 17, 1989, in Granite City and he passed away on December 9, 2008.  She enjoyed her years being a homemaker and taking care of her home and family and had also worked several years in Mississippi with Parks and Recreation.  Rhonda was a member of the Granite City Moose Lodge, loved taking vacations and was a fan of John Wayne.  He loved her days of taking rides in her car and the many days of motorcycle riding with her husband.  She is survived by a sister, Patricia York of Madison and her special friend, John Irwin of Granite City; nieces and nephews, Thomas Parmle, Shannon Russell, Crystal Robinson and Rubye Robinson; great nieces, Lia and Ali Meador; step-children and spouses, Vicki Lynn and Steve Feltes of Madison, Connie Marie and Gary Lofink of Granite City and Thomas Edward and Trisha Campbell of Worden; step-grandchildren, Donald Eugene Hamilton III, Ricky David Woodard III, Charles Lee “Chad” Lofink, Gregory Thomas Lofink, Cassandra Ann Lofink, Carlie Marie Lofink, Sterling Patrick Campbell, Sebastian Edward Campbell and Sienna Nicole Campbell; two step-great grandchildren, Rowen and Hazel; special friends, Dennis Cruse, Bev Inman and Roger Criss and so many other cherished friends; other extended family and friends.  In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Debra York and Sandra Parmle and a brother, Tommy York.

In celebration of her life, a memorial visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Friday, July 14, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until time of memorial service at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Cathy Crippen officiating.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Arthritis Foundation and may be accepted at the funeral chapel.  www.irwinchapel.com
