Retha M. Rawe, 78, of Carrollton died on Monday evening Jan. 17, 2022, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Alton, IL.
Born in White Hall on Oct. 8, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Cecyle Marie (Bateman) Phillips.
She married Ronald Rawe on Aug. 18, 1969, in Eldred and he preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 1999.
Surviving are two sons: Kenneth (companion Sarah Foster) Rawe of Carrollton, Charles W. Rawe of Carrollton, grandson: Ronnie Rawe, and a sister Marcella Gotschall of Lincoln.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings: Russell Phillips and Sue Costello
Retha was a devoted mother and housewife who love Bunco, working on getting rebates, and babysitting.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 24, 2022, at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home and burial will be in Carrollton City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to: a charity of one’s choice.
