Reta Belcher

Reta Joyce Belcher 76, passed away on May 2, 2018 at Christian Northeast Hospital, in St. Louis, MO.  Reta was born in Benton, Illinois, on November 10, 1941 to Harrison Lee and Matedie (Wilson) Cunningham. Reta married William Frederick Belcher on October 27, 1973 in Alton he proceeded her in death.She worked for many years as the owner/ operator of Belcher Moving and Storage and enjoyed cooking, doing crossword puzzles, spending time with her pets and clipping coupons.She is survived by her children, Alan Belcher of Hillboro, IL, Kathleen (Mark) Gabriel of Jefferson City, MO, Paula (Jerry) Herbstreit of Moro, IL, Keith A Belcher (fiancée Tricia Dunse) of Alton, IL, William F. Belcher II (fiancée Amanda Wayman) of Alton, IL; 12 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.  In addition to her husband and her parents she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.Visitation will be held Friday, May 11, 2018  from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton. Burial will follow at the Upper Alton Cemetery.Memorials may be made to the Alton Area Animal Aid Association.Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
