Red Dillon, 68, passed away at 11:30 am Sunday October 21, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his family by his side
He was born Morris Howard Dillon, on January 24, 1944, the son of the late Arthur and Verna (Summers) Dillon. Lovingly called Marty by his mother.
Red was an avid pool player, he played softball for various leagues in Alton. He enjoyed playing and listening to music. Red meet the love of his life, Wanda at the “Redbird Smoke Shop” in 1974 in Alton, 37 years later he leaves her behind still the love of his life.
Surviving along with Wanda are three daughters; Jennifer Jade (Aaron Newell), Sarah Marie, and Julie Ann (Chad Bligh), one son; Marty Adam (Amber McBride), seven grandchildren; Adam Douglas, Blake Ulrich, Summer Robinson, Ella Bligh, Aeden Davis, Clayton “Bubbie” Bligh and Ryleigh Dillon all of Alton, IL.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother; Donald Dillon.
A visitation will be from 5pm till time of service at 7 pm, Thursday October 25, 2012 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton. Rev Jim Johnston officiating.
