Rechele "Chelly" Monroe Griffin, 49, passed away 9:28 pm, Thursday, October 26, 2023 at her residence.
Born May 19, 1974 in Alton, she was the daughter of Donald Turner of Hartford and the late Marena Lea Monroe Turner.
She was passionate about her family and cooking and enjoyed going to the beach.
On October 6, 2020 in Galveston Island, TX, she married Robert Griffin. He survives.
Surviving also are a son, Ryan (Ashley) Kelley of Wood River; step-son, Zach Griffin of Florissant, MO; three grandchildren, Chase and Maci Kelley, Jayson Griffin; sister, Tiffani (Tim) Oster of East Alton; niece, Danille (Eric) Pratt of Wood River; as well as other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother; brother, Daniel Turner; and sister, Tracie Monroe.
Visitation will be be held from 4-7 pm, Wednesday, November 1 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
Interment will be in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
