Raymond Campbell

Raymond Connell Campbell, 87, died Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville.He was born in Springfield, Illinois on December 3, 1930, one of six sons born to Ralph and Charlotte (Connell) Campbell.Raymond graduated in 1949 from Bluffs High School, and served for three years with the Illinois National Guard.He retired from the maintenance department at Illinois College in Jacksonville in 1996 after dedicating 17 years of loyal service.He married the former Charlotte Crotchett of Kane, Il, on June 24, 1959 in Jacksonville, and together they have shared and been blessed with 48 years of marriage.Surviving are his wife, Charlotte Campbell of Jacksonville; a son, Stanley Raymond Campbell of Merritt, Il.; and two brothers, Gregory Campbell of Meredosia and Arthur Campbell of Naples, Il.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank Campbell, Cecil Campbell and Harold "Jack" Campbell; and his father in-law and mother in-law, Lawrence & Myrtle Crotchett.Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Daws Family Funeral Home in Jacksonville, Illinois.Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, with Rev.
