Phyllis Jean Haas, nee Duncan, 76, of Millstadt, IL, born August 25, 1949, in Belleville, IL, died Friday August 14, 2026, at her residence.
Mrs. Haas was the owner/operator of Basic Hardware. She was very caring and thoughtful towards other people. Phyllis loved plants of all kinds and always took care of any stray animals that came around.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Meryle, nee Seib, Duncan; and a brother-in-law, Walter Rapp.
Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Kenneth L. Haas, whom she married on August 15, 1970; two daughters, Rhonda (Travis) Roundcount and Holly Clarke;
five grandchildren; two sisters, Dianne Rapp and Sue (James) Goodwin; two brothers, Edward (Bonnie) Duncan and Daniel (Pat) Duncan; and many nieces and nephews.

According to Phyllis’s wishes, her body will be donated to Washington University School of Medicine.
