Phyllis Jean “Cooky” Brockman, 80, passed away Wednesday September 18, 2024 at Alton Memorial Hospital with family by her side.
Phyllis was born in Alton, IL to Theodore Bartholomew and Virgina McCleery.
She was lovingly raised from a young age by her Aunt Myrtle (McCleery) Brockman and Uncle James Brockman.
She was a cook at Barge Line for many years.
She is survived by her two brothers Terry (Mary) Bartholomew, Todd Bartholomew, three sisters Peggy (Gary) Kruemmelbein, Paula Vandiver, Pam (Tom) Hawkins, many nieces and nephews and one very special niece Dawn.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers Ted, Tom, Tim, Toby, Tracy.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday September 23, 2024 at Abundant Church in Godfrey, IL. Memorials can be made to Abundant Church in Godfrey, IL. Gent Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Additional information and online guest book may be found at www.gentfuneralhome.co
