Phyllis Ann (Taulli) Waters passed away at 12:10pm on Friday, November 2, 2018 at home with her family by her side.
She was born on October 12, 1932 in Alton, the daughter of Angelo and Mary (Spatori) Taulli.
Phyllis graduated from Marquette Catholic High School in 1950. Following high school she worked for 2 years at Olin Mathieson in East Alton.
She was united in Holy Matrimony with Donald Albert Waters on April 25, 1953 and they celebrated 61 years of marriage before his death on May 27, 2014. This union was blessed with 7 children, 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Waters was an active member in the St. Peter and Paul's and St. Patrick's Altar Society, as well as a volunteer Pink Lady at St. Anthony's Hospital. She took part in the annual St. Patrick's Turkey dinner, as well as weekly Bingo. Phyllis was also a board member for the organization Friends and Neighbors. She was loved by many and her influence will forever stay in the lives of those who knew her.
Her beautiful life will be forever cherished by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren: David and Dawn Waters of Oakville, Missouri, Donna and Bob Aszman of Peachtree City, Georgia, Thomas and Charli Waters of Alton, Sharon and Thomas Hettel of Wright City, Missouri, Michael and Susan Waters of Shipman, Laura and Timothy Powers of Quincy, and Robert Waters of St. Louis; Fourteen Grandchildren: Matthew, Julie, Danielle, Rebecca, Jordan, Karley, John, Jake, Tim, Sara, Chris, Angie, Emily and Rachel; great grandchildren: Avery, Ella, William, Adelyne, Carson, Madison, Easton, Everly and her ever growing family; one brother: William (Sonny) Taulli of Canton, Georgia.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Taulli, and daughter-in-law, Kim Waters.
The Waters' family would like to thank the nurses at BJC Hospice and Absolute Health Care for all their help and comfort during her final weeks. The Waters' family would also like to thank everyone at United Methodist Village for their continued love and support over the years.
Visitation will be held from 10am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at noon on Tuesday, November 6th, 2018 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Alton with Father Jason Stone as celebrant.
Burial will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Godfrey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Vincent DePaul at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church and Masses.
