Phillip Engle

Phillip N. Engle, 84, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017, at his home in Golden Eagle.He was born on October 17, 1932, in Quincy, Illinois, the son of John and Jeanette (Norling) Engle.Phillip was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving in the Korean War.He enjoyed the company of many friends, watching football & baseball, and making continual progress on his projects and tractors.Survivors include three sons and their spouses, John and Ronda Engle of Bentonville, Arkansas, Rodney and Lisa Engle of Golden Eagle, Andrew and Melissa Engle of St. Peters, Missouri; and seven grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Phyllis “Joan” Morrison.A graveside service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Afton, Missouri, with Pastor Chuck Schlie officiating.Gress, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Hardin is in charge of arrangements.Memorials may be made to Boy’s town.Online condolences and guest book may be found at www.gresskallalschaaf.com
