Paula K. (Ventimiglia) Muehling, 89, went to her heavenly father at 8:46 a.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Cedarhurst Assisted Living surrounded by her family.
She was born on December 11, 1934 in Alton, IL to Leo and Catherine (Pinta) Ventimiglia.
She married John "Jack" Muehling Jr. on October 9, 1954 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Alton. He preceded her in death.
Paula was employed by Metro Transit until her retirement in 1997. She loved being with her family the most, playing bridge and hosting family gatherings.
Paula is survived by her children, John Muehling of Bethalto, IL, Deborah (Thomas "Blu") Martin of Grafton, IL, and Paul L. (Gina Skjerseth) Muehling of Godfrey, IL; grandchildren, Jeremy, Ashley, Tim, Chris, Alex, and Morgan; great-grandchildren, Avery and Fox; and beloved animals, Emma and Buddy.
Paula was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; parents, Leo and Catherine; sisters, Mary K. Long, Joe K. Butkovich, and Anne K. Yeck; and brother, Tony Ventimiglia.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton, IL. Fr. Jorge Sanchez, OMV, celebrant.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association and/or the Leukemia Association.
